Protsahan 2016-17 was a one-day mega event held at Faculty of Management Studies on September 18, 2016. The event was inaugurated in the presence of esteemed personalities namely Dr. Mahendra Sharma (Director, Ganpat University), Mr. Bhargav Purohit, (Cluster Head- Creative, Red FM 93.5) and CA Ujal Mehta (Chairperson of the event).
Protsahan 2016-17 comprised of 4 formal games, namely B-Plan (Business Plan), Biz-Quiz (Business Quiz), Astitva (Team Building) and Prarambh (Product Launch), and six informal games, Bollyworm (Bollywood Quiz), Stroke-la-TShirt (T Shirt painting), Rang-de (Rangoli), Pratibimb (Face Painting). Two new informal events, Nukkad Natak (Street Play) and Junk-to-Jewel (Best out of waste) were introduced this year, and they received zealous response from students.
This year Protsahan received overwhelming response from all many institutes, with 377 registrations from 47 institutes & colleges of Gujarat, comprising 1008 students.
The event has not only received enthusiastic response from academic institutes, but Protsahan 2016-17 was also appreciated by industry. Number of leading organizations were associated with the event. The Co-sponsor of Protsahan 2016-17 was Indigrubs. All formal games were sponsored by Audifon and Shambhu’s coffee bar, and the informal games were supported by known media houses i.e. VTV News and Red FM 93.5. Red FM 93.5 was associated as radio partner and VTV Gujarati News as Television Channel Partner and Rapid Response Technology Solutions as Website Partner. Eminent personalities from industry and academic background honored the position of judges for our formal & informal games.
The event concluded with the valedictory function, wherein winners were awarded certificates and trophies by Dr. Mahendra Sharma (Director, Ganpat University), Shri Shally Tibak (Sales and Marketing Head, VTV Gujarati), Shri Vishal Shah (Senior Marketing Manager, VTV News) and CA Ujal Mehta (Chairperson, Protsahan 2016-17).
Overall, Protsahan 2016-17 was a grand event that was well appreciated by all participants and supporting organizations.
